New Challenge #134 at Glitter N Sparkle

Hello again,
Well it has been a rather quiet week this week,
for which I am glad.
I can finally catch my breath and take some time to catch up
on those things that I have been letting slip.
You know like that pesky housework lol.
Think I am finally balancing College and everyday life.

Anyway on with this weeks project,
for which I went with an Indian Theme.

The Theme at
Easel Card

Our Sponsors this week are:-

Bugaboo Stamps who are offering
7 Images from their store.

Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet who are offering
$10 Gift Certificate for their store.

My Project this week is:-
Elephant Paisley Digi Stamp
from Bugaboo
(one of our sponsors)

To start with I made a Double Easel Base Card
from Mustard Yellow Card
(stash)
Then I used some Pearlised Amethyst Paper
(stash)
for the Base and the Right Side Face.
For the Left Side Face I used some Indian Pattern Paisley Flower Paper
(dreamstime.com)
For the Corners of the Faces I used
Ivy Blossom - 3 in 1 - Corner Punch
(Fiskars)
on both the Mustard Card and the Papers.

Next I printed the Image out
  on Pearlised Gold Paper
(Ross Papers)
Making one of the Elephants
face the other way.
Then I Die-Cut them both out using Majestic Labels 8
(Spellbinders)
And went around the edge with my
Slate Promarker Pen.

For the Sentiment I Heat Embossed the Birthday Stamp
(A Taste Of India - Sheena Douglas)
 on the Amethyst Paper
with Watermark Ink
(Versamark)
and Gold Embossing Powder
(Papermania)
Cut it down and I used the
Ivy Blossom Corner Punch on each End.
Then I backed it onto some Mustard Card.

Next I Heat Embossed the Indian Trim Clear Stamp
so that it lay where the Easel Fronts would open to.
using the Watermark Ink and the Gold Embossing Powder.

In the Center where the 2 Easels meet
I Handcrafted a Bow from Gold Holographic Ribbon
(stash)

And finally I added 3mm AB Purple Rhinestones
(stash)
around the Images,
the Sentiment,
and also in a line down each side
for the Easel Faces to rest against.

New Challenge #133 at Glitter N Sparkle

Hi,
Thought I would give you all an update on the rest of this week today.
I finally started my Accountancy Course this week,
and I am LOVING all of it.
I do 2 days a week which its taxing on my Physical Health,
but the mental stimulation is fantastic.
Doesn't matter how old you are
you can always learn something new.
So for me this is the start of me
trying to get back to some kind of work.
And I so can't wait to do all of my training.

This week I wanted to try something new
(not card based)
and create a 3D Project.

The Theme at
Anything But A Card

Our Sponsors this week are:-

Limited Runs who are offering
3 Images from their store.

Sammi's Stamps who are offering
$12 Gift Certificate for their store.

My Project this week is:-
Art Deco Flower Digi Stamp
from Limited Runs
(one of our sponsors)

To start with I used a Plain Glass Coffee Mug
I had in my cupboard,
which I though could use a bit of jazzing up.

Next I printed the Image out on White DC Paper
to the size of the Mug.
I cut out the Circle and the stuck
the Image to the inside of the Mug.

Using this as a template I used
 Black Glass Paint
to go around the out line of the Digi Image.
Then using the Yellow, Red, Green, Blue and Black
Glass Paints
(all by Grafix)
I coloured the Image in on the Glass Mug.
Mixing the colours when needed.

Midway Post, Challenge #34 at Open-Minded Crafting

It's Saturday,
which means its the Halfway Post over at Open-Minded Crafting.

This has been a very hard week for me.
Unfortunately one of my beloved Furbabies died,
my little Smudge.
Even though he was the biggest of my cats he wasn't even 6 years old.
We dont even know why he died as he was healthy and had never had
any problems nor been ill at all.
I realise it was just his time to go, but it still hurts so much.
My other cat Tiger is constantly crying for his 'Brother',
but we have been having lots of hugs and cuddles.

The Theme at
Recycle Something

I added Xmas Red Glitter to the Waistcoat

New Challenge #132 at Glitter N Sparkle

Back Again,
well I'm finally feeling better after a horrible week of illness.

And what has been happening,
there was this huge yellow hot thing in the Sky this week,
(somebody told me it is called the Sun)
so I have been out enjoying it, hehe.
We have been out looking at my Back Garden,
planning what we would like to achieve this year in it.
Also we had a lovely family day at the local waterpark
with the children, both my Partners and his Sisters.

But could it last, nope back to wind and rain again this weekend.
Never mind more crafting time for me (yay)...
Though this week I start my new course,
which I'm looking forward to and dreading all at the same time.
Lets see if  I can physically cope with what I'm going to be doing!!!!!!
(wish me luck please)

New Challenge #131 at Glitter N Sparkle

Happy Easter Everyone.

Well here is my final Easter Card that I have made for the Family.
I wanted it to look nice and Springy.
My Parents own 4 hens and a Cockerel so I chose
these this Image to reflect this.

Well I am not feeling to great today,
mainly thanks to the 'Nephew',
who has stopped the night and I was up with
while he was rather poorly in the night.
Think he might just have passed the icky bugs on to me
so I'm off to bed to curl in a ball and hide for a day or two.
