New Challenge #143 at Glitter and Sparkle

Hello again,
Well its definitely nice to be finally all caught up
on my Blog,
and the sun is shining down outside.
Life is starting to look up again for me.
After a very stressful and hard 6 months
things are finally coming together.
I know you have to go through the bad times
to get to the good.
But sometimes you can't see the end of the tunnel,
and I couldn't have made it this far
with out some very special people in my life.
So I thank them greatly for everything they have done
and for putting up with me
(the Grizzly Bear with the sore head).
Keep your fingers crossed for me please,
as now I have finished my 1st course
(the 1st step to getting back to work)
I have to have an appointment with the College next week
to see if I can go on a full time year course starting in September.
I really hope I can get in.

Anyway on with the Crafting - yay.

Challenge #139 at Glitter N Sparkle

Here is the 4th of my Glitter n Sparkle Blogs that I have missed.
With the perfect Quote from C.S Lewis
(who wrote 'Alice in Wonderland' and other books)
which suits me down to a 'Tea'.

I find it so hard to put a book down once I've started it.
And I always disappear off into the world of which I am reading,
laughing and crying out loud
(usually to the annoyance of anyone who is around me)
living the lives of the characters with them.

The Theme at
Include An Animal

My Project this week was:-
Book And Tea Digi Stamp
from Digi Blessings
at Stitchy Bear Stamps
(one of our sponsors)

To start with I drew myself a Book of Tricks Template to work from.
Then using an A4 sheet of Deep Blue Leather Effect Card
(stash)
I cut out the Largest Size.
For the Middle Page I used a Sheet of A4 White Card
(stash)
and for the smallest Page
I 1st printed off an 2 page spread of a book
(which has been blurred so you can't read the print)
then cut it out with the template.

Next I printed the Image and
the accompanying Quote
  on White DC Paper
and coloured the Image in
using my Promarker Pens

                                                            Ivory - Book Pages
                                                            Dusky Pink - Mouse Ears
                                                            Mustard - Teabag Paper
                                                            Poppy - Cherries
                                                            Pastel Blue - Cup
                                                            Denim Blue - Cup/Saucer
                                                            Cool Aqua - Book Cover
                                                            Duck Egg - Saucer

                                                            Caramel - Mouse/Tea/Buns
                                                            Cinnamon - Mouse/Tea
                                                            Cocoa - Mouse/Buns
                                                            Burnt Sienna - Tea
                                                            Shale - Mouse Feet
                                                            Cool Grey 1 - Cup/Spoon/Steam

                                                            Black - Buns

I then Die-Cut both the Image and the Quote out
using 2 sizes of Ornate Frame Squares
(X-Cut).
Once cut I the went around the edges of both with my
Denim Blue Promarker Pen.
On The Quote I used Dark Smokey Blue Decorative Pastel Chalk
(Dovecraft)
to highlight the edges.

Down the center of the Book Of Tricks

(stash)
